not content with setting up a google pages website and creating a portfolio there, i've gone back to using flickr, and i will be hosting my images there again. although it's a new account, different from my old one.

i did some shots of a particular lady friend, and i wanted to share this one in particular.

I really like the colors in the foreground and background and how the skin serves as a horizon line. Also the picture is well lit.
What's awkward about the photo to me is the angle/position and focus of the foot. The foot is also darker than the surrounding area and the nails are visible so it disrupts the flow of curves and colors. On one hand, I kind of like that about the picture. On the other hand, I'm not sure if it was intended.
I think the colors are great, and being able to make out the dry skin and sick nails sets it apart from any other precious tiny foot shot. Which I really like.
I don't really know how to comment on this one. It makes me kind of uncomfortable. But then again, I dislike feet in general. They kind of freak/gross me out (yea, I'm one of those). And I'd have to agree with Mike on how the angle/position of the photo is really want contributes to it being awkward, but not necessarily in a bad way.
